Between Reason and Experience: On the Political Philosophical Basis of the Federalists

The Federalist political philosophy was based on the European post-enlightenment knowledge.They adopted Locke's reason to build the political legitimacy of the Federal Constitution;and at the same time with Hume's experience,they established an effective political system.Between reason and experience in political philosophy, the U.S.Federal Constitution made a certain balance between the ideal of the political value and reality of political order.
