大学领导者与社会主义教育家

大学领导应努力成为社会主义的教育家，是中外经验的启示，时代寄予的希望，历史赋予的责任，具有必要性和紧迫性。改革开放、建设具有中国特色的社会主义高等教育和扩大高校办学自主权的大环境，为大学领导创造了得天独厚的用武之地。大学领导应当审时度势，坚持社会主义办学方向，正确处理专业与管理、继承与创新的关系，努力成为高等教育的行家里手。

University Leaders and Socialist Educators

The present situation and sense of time mission has made it necessary and urgent for university leaders to develop into educators. Owing to the reform and the policy of China opening to the outside world, changes also have taken place in colleges and universities especially in the past few years. Some administrative power has been gradually devolved to university authorities, which makes it possible for university leaders to display their talents. The author argues that university leaders should correctly appraise the new situation; stick to the socialist-oriented principles for running colleges and universities; properly deal with the relationship between discipline and administration; succession and innovation in order that they may develop into able educators of higher education.
