Ladies' Journal(1916):a mirror reflecting Europe and America

Ladies' Journal is known as the the first longest publication in the modern woman history.From its birth,the journal tried to describe the Western world.In 1916,the Commercial Press employed Hu Binxia as the editor-in-chief and her overseas experiences in the west influenced the subject matter of the magazine,which began to shift to women and family.The articles in the magazine both reflect the magazine's interest in introducing European and American cultures and mirror how the new concern is shaped.
