Authors:Henry Grunebaum  Myron L Belfer

Abstract:Recent articles in child psychiatry in America are reviewed, with emphasis on those studies ofinterest to family therapists. Major areas covered include: normal development, deviant development, and the impact of trauma. Differences from the "family therapy" literature include: multi-causal explanations, respect for scientific studies, reviews of progress in knowledge, and a deep-rooted ethical commitment to the welfare of children.
