| 摘 要： | 本文例证了英语首字母缩略词的主要构成方法，在肯定实词首字母在首字母缩略词构成中的主导地位的同时，例证了介词、连词、冠词和数字也参与构成首字母缩略词。文章还讨论了首字母缩略词的一词多义现象及首字母缩略词的词性、匹配和借用等其他特点。

| Abstract: | The paper illustrates the main word-formation characteristics of the English acronym.
