“动刀”:当代小说叙事的暴力美学

刀在传统社会中不过是一件农具或冷兵器,但在中国当代小说叙事中则起到中心化的结构作用.尤其是进入新世纪,随着底层叙事的兴盛,刀又经常充当重要的道具,在小说叙事的高潮中如期而至.中国当代作家只有用到刀的时候,他/她的叙事才得心应手,显示出力道和内在的激情.因此,这促使我们去审视中国现代以来暴力美学的传统.现代小说通过暴力展现了现代性的宏大叙事,完成了它对民族国家建构的美学想象.新世纪中国文学的底层叙事,在重新寻求历史正义时,再度有祭刀仪式,刀再度成为叙事的重要道具.但"动刀"也难以完全承载小说的审美意蕴,作家开始寻求逃脱的方式,那就是以其突然变异的意外的方式,来使小说的叙事转折开放.
