湖北近代第一次报刊热潮特点及成因浅析

中国近代历史上的最初的两次国人自办报高潮出现在维新运动时期和辛亥革命前夕。而湖北国人自办报刊的第一次勃兴却出现在辛亥革命前夕,而非维新运动时期,同时这次报刊热潮直接或间接的影响到起义的第一枪在湖北武昌打响,意义重大。本文拟就这一时期湖北报刊的发展作一略述,以期探讨湖北近报刊第一次热潮的特点及其历史原因。

Features and Causes of the First Climaxes of Newspaper Publishing of Hubei

The two climaxes of newspaper publishing in Chinese contemporary history occurred during the period of Renewing Movement and before 1911 Revolution. Although the beginning of self-publishing newspaper in Hubei province happened before 1911 Revolution rather than during the period of Renewing movement, it is of great important because it affected the first rebellion in Wuchang in Hubei province directly or indirectly. The paper not only describes the development of self-publishing newspaper briefly but also discusses the characteristics and historical causes of the beginning of self-publishing newspaper in Hubei province.
