| 摘 要： | 《朗文当代高级英语辞典》（英真·英汉双解）（第三版）（即LDOCE3，English-Chinese Bilingual）在新词编纂方面取得了很大的成就，不仅收录了许多崭新的词语，而且在旧词新用以及使译名更加规范等方面也颇有建树，不过它在翻译对应词和收全派生词及派生词性方面还有所欠缺。文章将从这本词典的得与失这两大方面进行探讨。

| Abstract: | Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English （English-Chinese Bilingual） （the third edition） （LDOCE 3, English-Chinese Bilingual） achieves a lot in the compilation of new words. Not only are a fairly large number of new words embodied but quite an achievement is made in terms of exploitation of the new meanings of old words and standardization of Chinese equivalents, However, it has some demerits in rendering English into its Chinese equivalents and fully embodying derivational words or the derivational meanings of words. This paper will explore both the merits and demerits of LDOCE 3 （English-Chinese Bilingual）. |
