A Discussion on the Framework of New Aims of China's Socialist Modernization

The grand mission od constructing a harmonious society has been adopted as a general goal of China's socialist modernization in the 6th Session of the 16th Central Commeettee of the Communist Party,shifting from building a prosperous,democratic and civilized China into constructing a prosperous,democratic,civilized and harmonious China.The addition of "harmonious" to the aims can be regarded as a significant breakthrough in the framework of the modernization constrction.It enriches and perfects the content of the aims,and thus formulates a new-typed system of the soicalist modernization construction in China.Correctly understanding and scientifically analyzing this new aim system may help us to have a profound comprehension and an accurate command of the new aims,and as a result,to spped up our steps of achieving the goal of constructing a well-off society in China on a fuller scale.
