| Abstract: | In the history of American higher education,Johns Hopkins University founded in 1876 is a new emerging thing.The university not only sets precedents in many parts,but also has far-reaching influence on the development of American higher education.Its influence mainly shows that the university sets an example for the founding of other American research universities,promotes American graduate education and improves the academic life in America.In this paper,the author expounds these issues in detail. |
