| Abstract: | This article analyses the function of context to meaning in five respects from the perspective of pragmatic field. Here context refers to static context and dynamic context; and meaning is not the static and literal meaning, but the dynamic meaning which realizes its communication function in certain context. The existence of meaning relies heavily on context. |
