Analysis on the Concept and Measurement of Informal Employment

The informal employment is one of the most important and active employment forms in the current economic and social lives. It is still debatable about the definition and measurement of informal employment. The origin and development of the informal employment concept was reviewed, and the measurements at home and abroad were introduced, compared and analyzed, which is to define the connotation and extension of the informal employment. Finally a more acceptable statistical measurement was put forward in the paper.
