从知识经济时代信息技术革命对成人高等教育的巨大影响和冲击分析入手,提出新形势下发展成人高等教育的宏观管理和调控手段,指出为适应知识经济发展和终身教育的要求,为更好地服务于地方经济、区域经济,作为我国高等教育三大基本形式之一的成人高等教育当前的发展方向和发展模式是“实用型”高等教育。

The Reform and Development of Adult Education in the Age of Intellectual Economy

Starting with the analysis on the immense influence and impact thrown on the adult higher education by the information technology revolution in the Age of Intellectual Economy, 1 put forward the macro-scopical management and adjustment measures of the adult higher education under the new condition. I pointed out that in order to meet the requirement of the development of the intellectual economy and the whole-life education, and in order to serve for the local economy and area economy, the contemporary developmental direction and mode of the adult higher education, which is one of the three basic higher education forms in China, is "practical" higher education.
