试论荀子的人生修养观

荀子认为,人生修养的具体目标是成为士、君子和圣人,成为士人是初级目标,圣人是终极目标。作为修养标准的礼仪包括两方面:一方面是具体规范和制度,即“礼节”或“仪规”,另一方面是抽象的原则即“中”或“中道”。此外,修养还要坚持表里如一的标准。关于修养方法,一是追随效仿老师,二是慎重选择环境,三是专心致志、持之以恒。

Study on XUN Zi's Life Tutelage Theory

XUN Zi believed that,the life tutelage goals are to become the intellectuals,the gentlemen and the sages.To become an intellectual is the primary goal,and the sage is the ultimate objective.As the tutelage standard,etiquette includes two aspects: On the one hand is the concrete standard and the system,on the other hand is the abstract principle.In addition,the tutelage also must persist the same standard all the time.About the tutelage method,one is to follow teachers,two is to choose environment,and three is to persevere wholly.
