| 摘 要： | 从社会文化心理的角度对英语委婉语的产生及运用进行了具体分析。通过分析我们了解到:英语委婉语运用得极为广泛,并具有重要的社会功能。在跨文化交际中,了解和掌握委婉语并予以正确实施是十分重要的。

| Abstract: | The article analyzes specifically the arising and application of euphemisms in English from the angle of social cultural psychology. From the analysis we learn that the application of euphemisms is very extensive and they have important social functions. Therefore, it is very important for us to have a good command of them and know well how to put them into effect properly in intercultural communication. |
