| Abstract: | Prof. Tan Yunshan, honored as modern Xuanzang, devoted his whole life to the great cause of China - India cultural exchanges and was deeply respected by the two peoples. This article narrated in detail his vigorous assistance to Rabindranath Tagore in establishing the Cheena Bhavan at Visva -Bharati and highly appraised his eternal contribution to enhancing the friendship between the two nations. |
