| Abstract: | The Yuan Dynasty was one established by Mongolian nobles. Racial discrimination determined that intel-lectuals of the Han nationality received extremely unfair treatment in the Yuan Dynasty. During this specific historical time, literati were burdened with heavy hearts. The mentality of literati of the Yuan Dynasty has been a hot issue for aca-demic research recent years. Their mentality was given display in the variety plays of the Yuan Dynasty. |
