| 摘 要： | 西部突厥与西突厥汗国是两个不同概念。西部突厥乃突厥汗国下属西部地区的简称，自始就由木杆、室点密两大汗系组成，并非出自任何单一汗系。作为政权概念的西突厥汗国则是突厥汗国全面分裂、20年内战演变的最终结局。西突厥汗国的创始者并非出自室点密汗系的达头可汗或射匮可汗，木杆-阿波汗系的泥利可汗乃是西突厥汗国的创始者，仁寿三年（603）是西突厥建国的历史标志。

| Abstract: | West of Turk Empire, an abbreviated term for the western region under Western Turk Empire, was made up of the two khans of Mahan and Istami, whereas Western Turk Empire, a sovereign concept, emerged when Turk Empire collapsed after 20 years of its domestic war. Western Turk Empire was founded in 603 not by Tardou Khan or Yobγu （射匮） khan under Istami Khan family, but by Nri Khan under Mahan-Apa Khan family. |
