台湾通识教育及其对大陆的启示

随着台湾高等教育改革的深入，台湾通识教育在理念认同、课程建设、教学实践等方面取得了一些新的进展。作为一种教育理念与教育实践，台湾通识教育的成功实践对大陆高等教育改革有着重要的启示：大陆高等教育要实现既定的根本目标，真正落实以生为本，必须推行通识教育；大陆当前的素质教育与通识教育有着本质的区别；在当前高等教育制度环境下，大陆推行通识教育需要教育主管部门的强力推动和高校校长的创新作为。

Rethinking on the General Education in Taiwan

With the deepening of the higher education reform in Taiwan, Taiwan general education made some new progress in concept identity, course construction and teaching practice, etc. As a kind of education idea and education practice, the successful practice of Taiwan general education has an important enlightenment to the higher education reform in Mainland. To realize the established fundamental goal and to implement student-oriented principle really, higher education in Mainland must promote general education. There are essential differences between quality-oriented education in Mainland and general education. In the current higher education system environment, implementing general education in mainland needs powerfully driving of the education departments and innovation of universities＇ Presidents.
