借用R．W．康奈尔有关男性气质的一些理论,对小说《告诉我是谁》中男主人公威尔在婚姻生活中的经历进行分析．表明身处20世纪中期美国以消费为中心的文化中主人公对其自身男性气质和男性主体身份的焦虑,揭示其男性气质危机,进而展露郊区生活的虚无。

散文创作对于当代作家王鹏翔来说,显得尤为重要。当部分作家把目光投向市场和媚俗的商业化写作时,他却固执地沉浸在村庄里自在言说。他把被遗忘和现代性浸淫的村庄民俗风情进行诗化的再现与重铸,以审美的体验去感悟生活．用诗性的眼光来考量彝族村庄物语。他抱着炙热的情感穿透村庄模糊的背影,执着于对村庄进行冷静的叙述。

黄碧云的小说文字风格凌厉,擅于通过对生活细节与人性表现方式的精准把握,极力描写人性阴暗、冷酷和暴力的一面,她的这些小说表现出了有别于其他作家的暴力美学特点。本文以《失城》和《呕吐》为例,从历史性的身份焦虑和现代性的生存焦虑两方面对黄碧云小说的暴力美学进行解读。     

叛离与建构——林语堂的身份之旅

林语堂对自身的文化“身份”始终处于一种焦虑的状态之中,这源自于一个中国基督徒的宗教信仰与中国文化之间的矛盾。他曾自称“异教徒”,力图通过回归传统文化来寻觅归属感,但无论是基督教还是传统文化都无力单独为林语堂构筑起一个精神家园。他只能游走于东西文化之间,称自己是“半东半西”、“亦耶亦孔”,对于“身份”的寻觅最终使他承担起沟通两个世界的使命。      

Attachment and leader's development via experiences

Apart from biographies and memoirs of outstanding leaders, studies on the development of leaders in everyday life from childhood to maturity are rare. We propose a developmental model of leaders in which certain variables formed in early childhood are the basic components for leadership development in later life. These are a low level of trait anxiety [Spielberger, C.D. (1972). Conceptual and methodological issues in anxiety research. In C.D. Spielberger (Ed.), Anxiety: Current trends in theory and research. New York: Academic Press, vol. 1] and openness to experiences [Costa, P.T. Jr., & McCrae, R.R. (1992a). Revised NEO Personality Inventory (NEO-PI-R) and NEO Five-Factor Inventory (NEO-FFI) professional manual. Odessa, FL: Psychological Assessment Resources]. We argue that secure attachment style [Bowlby, J. (1969). Attachment and loss: Vol. 1. Attachment. New York: Basic Books] explains the formation and influence of these basic components, which in turn affect the leader's development through experience in leadership roles. Questionnaires were administered to 286 subjects. The data obtained were analyzed by structural equation modeling (SEM).The findings show that trait anxiety and openness to experience affect leaders' development via experiences. Alternative models in which formative variables may affect the magnitude and intensity of leadership experiences are discussed.     

文学的形式焦虑与想象——大众化视阈中的“民族形式”论争问题考察

由于民族存亡和战争的现实需要,抗战时期民族主义成为文化上的主要诉求。文学“大众化”一直以来就存在的形式焦虑,在抗战的复杂境遇中,表现得更加突出,“民族形式”论争就是这种焦虑的集中表达。论争寄托了知识分子对“民族形式”的不同想象,解放区的“大众化”运动中,“民族形式”被创造出来,赋予了具体的形态。尽管这些形态,不可能实现“民族形式”作为一种文化符号所承载的所有意义,但是却在社会政治动员中真正发挥了作用。     

美国华裔流散写作中的身份焦虑

美国华裔作家作为全球流散群体中的一支,游离于故国与所居住国文化之间,以边缘人的双重视角去审视中美两种文化,思考并实践着文化的变迁、融合和生长。他们的写作无一例外地探讨了在强势异地流散者的文化身份危机、文化身份重构及人类整体文化的命运和走势等问题。因此,我们可以基于后殖民理论,从流散批评的视角出发,来探讨美国华裔写作中流散者的身份焦虑。     

Romantic Attachment and Life Satisfaction in a Sample of Gay Men and Lesbians in Chile

ABSTRACT

This study intended to assess the relationship between romantic attachment and life satisfaction (LS) in a gay men and lesbian sample in Chile. It also aimed to identify the effect of attachment dimensions on life satisfaction for both gay men and lesbians. Through a cross-sectional study with a non-experimental design, a total of 460 homosexual adults completed the Experiences in Close Relationships and the Life Orientation Test, Revised Version. According to the results obtained, greater attachment insecurity (e.g., attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance) was linked to lower levels of LS in both gay men and lesbians. Furthermore, the model was found to be more predictive for lesbians than for gay men. Implication of these results are discussed.     

For the Love of Fluffy: Respecting,Protecting, and Empowering Transitional Objects in the Context of High-Conflict Divorce

ABSTRACT

Transitional objects are those idiosyncratically determined, beloved blankies and stuffed animals that communicate an absent parent’s affection. As such, transitional objects serve the short-term need to cope with separation, and the long-term need to move toward autonomy. This article discusses the value, use, and misuse of transitional objects in the context of coparental conflict. The concept of alienation-by-proxy is introduced. Specific recommendations are provided, including the therapeutic creation and empowerment of transitional objects to assist children experiencing separation anxiety, consideration of the role of transitional objects in child custody evaluations, and the court’s responsibility to encourage litigating parents to respect the child’s needs for transitional objects.     

Adolescents' Physiological Reactions to Their Parents' Negative Disclosures About the Other Parent in Divorced and Nondivorced Families

The purpose of this study was to determine how adolescents in divorced and nondivorced families respond psychologically and physiologically to their parents' negative disclosures when talking about their parents' relationship. The study also investigated how parents respond to their own disclosures about their relationship with the other parent. In general, the results illustrate the important role that adolescents' feelings of being caught can contribute to their well-being. The findings also supported the hypothesis that the valence of parental disclosures was a more important consideration than its frequency in the understanding of adolescents' reactions to their parents' disclosures, especially for adolescents from divorced families. Disclosure valence was also associated with parental anxiety, such that disclosure negativity predicted elevations in parents' anxiety during the discussion. Ultimately, children from divorced families who already felt caught between their parents and whose parents tended to disclose negative information about the other parent to them were more likely than other adolescents to report feeling anxious during that conversation. The results for changes in physiological arousal were not significant and were not consistent with the results for self-reported anxiety.
