Implicit Theories of Marital Relationships: A Grounded Theory of Socialization Influences

A qualitative study was conducted in an Eastern European university, involving 16 participants from functional and dysfunctional families who participated in semistructured interviews about the development of their implicit theories of a happy marital relationship. The students shared their ideas of a happy marriage, their parents’ marriage, including the level of happiness, conflict and other issues, what they thought were major influences on the formation of their ideas of marriage including exploration of the role of fiction media. The following major socialization influences emerged as themes: parental relationship, individual parental characteristics, observation of other relationships, gender role ideology, education, media, and experiences of own relationships.

Using modern methods for missing data analysis with the social relations model: A bridge to social network analysis

Social network analysis identifies social ties, and perceptual measures identify peer norms. The social relations model (SRM) can decompose interval-level perceptual measures among all dyads in a network into multiple person- and dyad-level components. This study demonstrates how to accommodate missing round-robin data using Bayesian data augmentation, including how to incorporate partially observed covariates as auxiliary correlates or as substantive predictors. We discuss how data augmentation opens the possibility to fit SRM to network ties (potentially without boundaries) rather than round-robin data. An illustrative application explores the relationship between sorority members’ self-reported body comparisons and perceptions of friends’ body talk.

在两岸关系实现历史性转折、和平发展取得重大成果情况下,台湾"国家认同"出现政治偏差,统独取向出现严重错位,这一情况表明了台湾"国家认同"问题的复杂性、严峻性,表明了正确引导和重塑台湾"国家认同"的重要性、迫切性。在影响台湾"国家认同"的诸多因素中,"台独势力"的影响最为恶劣。在"台独"演变过程中,不同阶段对"国家认同"的影响也有不同。

威克利夫《圣经》是英语语言文化史上第一部完整的英文《圣经》,也是14世纪威克利夫宗教改革所取得的最重要成果。译本的完成与广泛传播不仅打破了天主教会对《圣经》及其阐释权的垄断,而且挑战了当时拉丁语作为教会唯一合法语言的至尊地位,对中世纪英格兰文化产生了广泛而深远的影响。

李金发是一位雕塑家,他的诗歌创作与雕塑有着密切关系,并且直接受到罗丹雕塑的深刻影响。他的不少诗作是对罗丹雕塑的感悟和咏叹,他对罗丹爱情题材的雕塑作品尤其倾心,罗丹雕塑表现宇宙动象的艺术手法是李金发师承的重点。李金发的诗是象征的,亦是写实。

The challenge of introducing low-carbon industrial practices: Institutional entrepreneurship in the agri-food sector

Contemporary agricultural practices account for a significant share of greenhouse gas emissions. Inspired by the emergent literature on institutional entrepreneurship, we seek to explore mechanisms that affect an actor’s propensity to act in ways that imply suggesting and promoting emission-reducing practice changes. As influences originating outside the organizational field are assumed to constitute such mechanisms, the paper explores their role through a case study of a project run by a public agency. Unlike extant theory, results show that the agency’s propensity to act is not necessarily enhanced by extra-field influences but that such influences also limit the scope for suggesting change that challenges existing industrial practices.     

人民币升值的正负效应及抵消对策分析

人民币升值对中国经济的影响具有正负双重效应。笔者从微观和宏观、内部经济和外部经济的角度,分析现阶段人民币升值对我国经济所产生的正负效应,提出以人民币升值的正效应抵消其负效应的对策,使人民币升值对我国经济建设的负面影响降到最低,直至实现宏观上的正效应大于负效应的目标。
