Contextual identity experiencing facilitates resilience in Native American academics

This article discusses the socio-cultural dynamics that interact with ethno-racial identity experiencing in a previously under-researched group. A qualitative interdisciplinary study with 40 Native American academics from 28 mainstream universities across the U.S. served as a case example with findings that contrasted with historically influential theoretical frameworks postulating identity confusion and conflicts at the intersection of one’s mainstream education and profession versus one’s ethno-racial community grounding. Instead of feeling pressure to identify with only one worldview, the contextual, dynamic identities associated with the inclusive and flexible self-concept of tribal participants allowed them to in turn take advantage of two divergent cultural meaning systems pertaining to their distinct socio-cultural contexts. These shifts were experienced as not endogenous but rather exogenous variables, which did not cause the historically theorized issues. Participants felt their tribal identities instead facilitated meaningful integration of the existing incongruences, which resulted in unexpectedly resilient subjective experiencing.     

广西沿边"适应-竞争-合作"式 城镇演化模式研究 ——以凭祥、东兴为例

新时代不充分不平衡发展问题突出，加大力度支持边疆民族地区加快发展的要求迫在眉睫。广西沿边民族地区发展总体滞后，城镇发展模式趋同；东兴和凭祥在沿边城镇发展模式趋同的情况下，在“适应-竞争-合作”式城镇演化过程中，充分利用国家政策、发挥比较优势、培育优势特色产业、深化内外合作，实现了城镇经济的跨越式发展。本文以生物学“趋同进化”理论为基础，结合新发展理念和东兴、凭祥的发展经验建议：广西沿边民族地区采取“适应-竞争-合作”式城镇发展模式，以创新增强各城镇内生动力，以互补合作促进协调发展，以绿色发展道路助推城镇发展的可持续性，以加强内外市场的联动性来深化城镇开放、合作式发展，以“省-市-县”、“县-镇-村”的互联互通推进共享发展。     

零售4.0时代先行发货问题的大数据分析

在零售4.0时代，渠道的多样化不仅丰富了数据源，还能迅速生成大量数据，需要通过分析大数据，为决策提取有意义的信息，通过分析先行发货的重要性，提出了一种基于遗传算法（GA）的优化模型，预测顾客何时购买，然后在顾客线下单前将产品运送到距顾客最近的配送中心，解决先行发货中存在的问题。研究认为，需要先部署云计算来存储所有渠道生成的大数据，再应用基于集群的关联规则挖掘研究顾客的购买行为，根据“如果-那么”预测规则预测未来的采购情况，最后利用修正的遗传算法生成最优的先行发货计划；这种遗传算法考虑了其在运输成本和运输距离之外，还有预测规则的置信度，利用大量的数值实验权衡了先行发货中的不同因素，验证了模型的最优可靠性

浅析加强和改进高校的思想政治教育工作

高校的思想政治教育工作在我国的现代化建设和发展中占有着举足轻重的作用,但高校思想政治工作在实际的操作中依然存在着不容忽视的问题。文章试从高校思想政治教育工作的必要性、紧迫性两方面出发,对加强高校思想政治工作进行探索,进而提出一些改进措施,以期进一步强化高校思想政治教育工作。     

Sex Related Factors in the Perception of Threatening Facial Expressions

This study replicated and extended previously reported sex differences involving both viewer and target in the recognition of threatening facial expressions. Based on the assumption that the evolved cognitive mechanisms mediating anger recognition would have been designed by natural selection to operate quickly in the interests of survival, brief tachistoscopic presentation of stimulus photographs was used. Additionally, in contrast to prior published studies, the statistical methods of signal detection research were used to control for the confounding effects of non-random guessing. The main hypothesis, that anger posed by males would be more accurately perceived than anger posed by females, was supported. A secondary hypothesis, that female-posed anger would be more accurately perceived by women than by men, received partial support. Testosterone levels, measured inferentially in terms of diurnal cycles, failed to show the hypothesized positive relationship to accuracy of anger perception.     

Comprehensive neighbourhood mapping: developing a powerful tool for child protection

This paper proposes ‘comprehensive neighbourhood mapping’ as a schema for gathering and interpreting information within a given geographical area which is informed by imaginative thinking about the safety of children and young people from sexual crime. It would build upon current forms of profiling by local authorities, health authorities and central Government. CNM would actively involve local people, in partnership with agencies, in ‘mapping’ danger points and support points. Eight components are discussed, including environmental issues, locations of sex offenders, sites where teenagers meet and share information, supportive individuals and organizations. Some issues for pilot projects are discussed, including the need to set up planning and implementation groups and to integrate CNM into wider child protection and community safety strategies. CNM is grounded in an ecological perspective which sees partnership approaches as essential and believes an overarching view of neighbourhood needs, based on detailed local information and understanding of how different forms of harm interconnect, is crucial in developing child protection strategies. At times of acute official anxiety about community ‘lynch‐mob’ reactions to known paedophiles, CNM aims to build communities which instead are informed and thoughtful about child protection. 电子商务环境下税收中的法律问题分析

电子商务的发展使传统税收理论概念模糊不清,从而造成税负不公、税源监控和税收稽查困难以及国际避税增多等现状,而中国的电子商务征税除了以上问题外,大陆与港澳台地区税法及税收管辖权冲突也日益凸显。因此,中国应完善现有税法体系,积极研究制定有关电子商务税收的法律法规:确立科学的税收征管模式,强化税务稽查及确立税收评估制度等。同时采取加强国际税务协助特别是与港澳台地区的合作等措施,以有效解决电子商务环境下的税收问题。     

从英语修辞格谈英语习语译为汉语成语

在英汉翻译中,部分英语习语可译为汉语成语。英语习语和汉语成语既是英语和汉语中重要的修辞手段,同时其本身也是各种修辞手段的集中体现。本文从英语修辞格中音韵格和意象修辞格的角度对可译为汉语成语的英语习语作了部分归纳。在音韵格中,本文从头韵、重复和韵脚三方面予以小结。在意象修辞格中,着重从明喻、借代、讽喻和拟人的角度进行分析。本文旨在探讨汉语成语在翻译一些英语习语中的恰当运用。同时也指出不能滥用汉语成语。
