近年来，学者出版个人随笔集或散文集渐成方兴未艾之势，形成了一道引人注目的“学者散文”的景观。以赵园的散文集《易堂寻踪》为例，可剖析当前学者散文在主题和风格上的某些特点。学者的散文或随笔实际上是他们在寂寞之余倾吐的絮语，更能够透露其学术素养与精神气质，以及作为生命个体的独特内心消息。

The Family Group Within the Nursing Home:

An ongoing monthly family group was implemented in an intermediate care facility in hopes of improving communication between staff and families of long term care residents. Other objectives of the group were to provide families with information about policies and procedures, education about the aging process, and to facilitate an informal support group network where families could share problems and concerns. The feedback and evaluation process indicated that sharing feelings of anger, quiet, frustration and other emotions helped the families deal with the responsibilities of institutionalizing a relative and helped to facilitate better communication between staff and family members.     

Gender,Widowhood, and Long-Term Care in the Older Mexican American Population

SUMMARY

The objective of this study is to examine the influences of gender on long-term care service use among older Mexican American widows and widowers. Our analysis is based on a sample of 773 widows and 183 widowers from the Longitudinal Study of Elderly Mexican American Health (H-EPESE). In this sample widows resemble widowers in terms of demographic and health characteristics. However, widows report more financial strain than widowers and a greater welfare dependency (SSI) and Medicaid use. Among those who suffered diminished health, widows were more likely than widowers to use community-based long-term care services whereas widowers were more likely to enter a nursing home. Widows also had more instrumental and socioemotional support than widowers. Serious cognitive and functional impairment, though, places widows and widowers at the same risk of institutionalization. We end with a discussion of the policy implications of these findings.

官德建设 ,是江泽民同志“以德治国”重要思想的重要组成部分之一。“以德治国” ,当首治官德。加强官德建设是关乎党风建设的一项重大而紧迫的时代课题。当前部分领导干部在政治上、工作上、作风上、生活上存在诸多“失德”现象 ,亟待整治。官德建设必须综合运用教育、法律、行政、舆论等手段 ,把自律与他律结合起来 ,通过严格科学管理 ,培养领导干部道德修养 ,促进良好官德的形成 ,带动整个社会道德和精神文明的振兴。     

Separate and Unequal: The Housing Act of 1968 and the Section 235 Program

In recent years scholars have identified racial disparities in wealth and home ownership as crucial factors underlying patterns of racial inequality and residential segregation in American metropolitan housing markets. While numerous federal housing policies have been identified as responsible for reinforcing residential segregation and racial inequalities in home ownership, little research has focused on the segregative effects of the Section 235 program. As one component of the 1968 Housing Act, Section 235 was designed to shift the focus of federal housing policy away from dispensing aid to local housing authorities for building public housing to providing direct supply-side subsidies to the private sector to stimulate home ownership for nonwhites and the poor. Archival and census data, government reports and housing analyses, and oral histories and interviews are used to examine the segregative effects of the Section 235 program in Kansas City, Missouri from 1969 through the early 1970s. Findings indicate that while the housing subsidy program allowed a vast majority of participating white families to purchase new housing in suburban areas, most participating African American families purchased existing homes located in racially transitional neighborhoods in the inner city. These findings corroborate recent research showing how the market-centered focus of federal housing policy has impaired the ability of African Americans to accumulate wealth through home ownership and reinforced racially segregative housing patterns.

信仰的动摇理性的缺失--哈姆莱特所面临的精神困境

哈姆莱特处于传统价值体系发生动摇的文艺复兴时期 ,意识形态领域信仰和理性的冲突导致了哈姆莱特激烈的内心冲突 ,使他在信仰和理性之间无所适从。而残酷的现实又逼迫哈姆莱特担当复仇和重振乾坤的重任 ;复仇与基督教神学观念发生冲突 ,而理性精神又不足以支撑他重振乾坤 ,最终导致了哈姆莱特陷入沉重的精神危机之中。
