Multidimensional Interpretation to Honesty

Honesty has always been playing an important role in our human society.It is hence of great theoretical and practical significance to make a probe into its essence and connotative meaning.With an examination on the traditional sense of honesty home and abroad,the author makes a confirmation that honesty is not only an ethical concept based on sincerity and trustworthiness,but also a social behavior connecting "ethics" and " gains",and a norm and system integrating the functions of both ethics and laws.Apart from these,honesty is also characteristic of the following four properties,ie,universal adaptability,duality,openness and nationality.
