虚拟现实问题的哲学反思

近年来,虚拟现实技术和应用引起了哲学界的关注。本文从哲学对虚拟现实界定角度,在梳理和分析学界相关研究成果基础上,提出个人看法。本文认为,虚拟现实是人类用数字化的中介系统创造的可与人交互作用的超现实环境的技术、活动和状态;作为一种客体,人工的虚拟现实("虚境")是个物理性与心理性结合、工具与客体合一、主体与客体共构的复合性的人工环境;网络虚拟空间,是虚拟技术与网络技术相结合而出现的一种新的"虚境",遥在是其存在方式,"在线效应"和"时缩空扩效应",是遥在性导致的双重效应,虚拟性是其显著特征,并由此产生网络伦理问题。

Philosophical reflections on the virtual reality

Over the recent years, the technique and the application of virtual reality have attracted the attention of philosophical circles. From the philosophical perspective and based on some analysis of the relevant research results in this area, this paper represents the author's assumptions on this issue. They include: (1)The virtual reality is a technique, action and state, created by man with the digital medium and which can interact with man; (2)As an object and an union of subject and instrument, the virtual reality ("virtual situation") is a compound artificial environment constructed by the subject and object, both physical and psychological; (3)Cyberspace, a new virtual environment, results from the combination of the virtual technique and networking technique. Its distant presence is its form of existence. Its distant presence results in both "online effect" and "time-reduction and space-extension effect". With the virtual feature as its most prominent characteristic, virtual reality has induced the issue of network ethnic.
