| Abstract: | In the northwestern frontier regions in the Northern Song, the confrontation between the Northern Song and the Xi Xia led to the changes of their relationship from the war to peace. The situation directly influenced the legal system of the northwestern frontier regions in the Northern Song, that is, from obeying the customary law of the minority to gradually promoting and applying the Song＇s law. However, the words and deeds of the frontier officials and people had positive or negative impact on applying the Song＇ s law. These factors formed the prospect of operating the ethnic legal system in the northwestern frontier regions in the Northern Song. |
