| 摘 要： | 从语用学的角度,通过对众多实例的分析,讨论了幽默与语境的关系,认为语境对幽默至关重要.正是有了语境的衬托、填补和解释作用,才使得幽默的表达和理解成为可能.同时,语境对其风格的形成以及结构上的省略、简化也起着制约作用.对英语幽默的理解,尤其必须对"跨文化语境"有充分认识,注意并掌握与其密切相关的文化背景知识.

| Abstract: | In the light of pragmatics,this paper studies the relationship between h umor and context through case -analy sis.It reveals that contextual factors pla y a very important role in creation an d understanding of humor.Context pr ovides explanation of ut-terance meaning and also affects the style and structure in humor.In order to understand English humor better,we should heighten our awareness of cross --cultural conte xt and acquire more relevant cultura l background knowledge. |
