Weakened Carnivalization in Allan Poe's Work The System of Doctor Tar and Professor Feather

Carnivalization has been reformed and renewed again and again in different literary schools and genres.In the 19th century,it was integrated with psychoanalytic narration of romanticism,which can be seen from American writer Allan Poe's work.However,the carnivalization presented by Poe is greatly weakened in that it loses its optimism and the power of renew and regeneration.Nevertheless,the grotesque characters in Poe's work effectively criticize the society out of which they are created.
