摘    要:中国文学的现代性并非像有些批评家认为的那样完全是对西方文学现代性的被动反应和摹仿,而是既有西方文学现代性影响的因子,又有其特殊的本土文化底蕴。这种现代性的内在矛盾性在周作人身上表现得很突出,并成为其审美矛盾性的来源———他既追求、模仿西方的现代性,同时又涵纳着深厚的本土情结;既对传统文化进行毫不留情地批判,又从传统中寻找现代性的理论资源,从而导致了他在审美现代性与启蒙现代性、革命现代性上的冲突,最后完全走向一条反启蒙的审美现代性之路。

Abstract:Some critics regard that the modernity of Chinese literature is totally a passive copy or imitation of the modernity of Western literature,which is incorrect because the modernity of Chinese literature has both absorbed some elements of the modernity of Western literature and maintained its local components.Its internal contradiction finds expression in ZHOU Zuoren and is also the source of his aesthetic contradiction,that is,he follows and imitates Western modernity while maintaining his local complex.He both severely criticizes the traditional culture and tries to find its theoretical source in the tradition,which results in his contradiction in terms of aesthetic modernity,enlightenment modernity and revolutionary modernity and his anti-enlightenment approach in terms of aesthetic modernity.
