论荀子的科学精神

有学者认为,儒家学派经荀子而固定了立场,这是很有道理的。正是荀子思想体系的建立,使得儒家学派的科学思想和科学精神更加明显地凸现出来了。苟子的科学精神主要表现在以下方面:天人相分,尊重自然,重在“相参”;人性能知,物理可知,重在“学也”;“解蔽”“求正”,“知道”“体道”,重在“行之”;“治乱非天”,“人妖”可畏,重在“上明而政平”;人性本“恶”,去“恶”从善,重在“伪也”。

On Sunzi's Science Spirit

It is very reasonable that some scholars hold that through Sunzi the Confucian school fixes its standpoint. It is just because of the establishment of Sunzi thought system that the Confucian school's science thought and spirit is stili more clearly protruded. Sunzi's science spirit mainly expressed in the following respects; for "god and man are separated, respecting nature". laying stress on"mixing each other"; for"humanity can be known, material rule can be known," laying stress on"learning"; for " understanding the cover", "seeking the right", "knowing the rule", "experiencing the rule", laying stress on "practice"; for "handling social disorder does not depend god","man-made misfortune"is dreadful, laying stress on "While the ruler is just the state affair is clear";for human nature is originally "evil", giving up the "evil" and "follow the good",laying stress on"removing man's cultivating'.
