西方国际关系理论中小国概念分析

一直以来,现实主义的范式主导着国际关系研究,国际体系中大国扮演主角,小国处于从属地位。在无数的实证和经验的研究中,毫无疑问,理论的话语权仍然为大国所掌握,小国处于边缘化的地位。本文拟就被学术界所忽视的小国一词概念为对象,对现有西方国际关系理论中的小国定义以及其特征进行一番梳理,廓清国际关系中对这一行为主体的认识。

An Analysis of the Concept of Small States in Western International Relations Theory

The research in international relations is dominated by realist analysis paradigm at all time. Great powers play the main role in international system, and small states are affiliated with them. In a lot of positivist and empirical research, it is obvious that great powers hold the right of theoretical discourse and small states are marginalized. This paper aims at the concept of small states which are generally neglected by academia. Undoubtedly, clarification of the definition and characteristics of small states in western international theory is conducive for us to understand such a group of actors in international relations.
