On Intensifying the Study of Population and Family Planning Management

To adjust and regulate the nation's population development is one of the important social administrative functions of the present government.China's years' implementation of population and family planning program has provided rich source material for the theoretic study of the field,but also called for an intense request.In order to ensure the sound development of the population and family planning work in the 21st century and to boost the resolution of population issues,we have to strengthen our theoretic research and to fully realize the directing role that the theory plays in practice,which is theoretically and practically significant.The theory of population and family planning management belongs to a new interdiscipline and is an important branch of demographic discipline system.It is requisite to improve the condition so as to impel the research and development of the discipline.
