| Abstract: | In East Wind,West Wind, Pearl S.Buck has vividly portrayed a series of sons.Through them,she mercilessly castigated the feudal ethics,which has persecuted Chinese women for thousands of years.Through them,she highly praised science,democracy and equality,which enabled the sons to combat the feudal ethics.Also through them,she hopefully presented an ideal picture in which East and West coexist harmoniously by conflicting and merging. |
