《诗》在先秦的文化功能与意义变迁

<诗经>是中华民族祖先探讨世界意义与人生价值的最初结晶,是中民族最古老的生命之诗.<诗经>的编订成集不单纯是一种文学作品在民间流传与筛选的自然结果,促成<诗经>结集的"采风"与"献诗"属于政府行为,它是王朝天子了解臣意民风的重要途径.<诗>是周王朝礼乐教化的主要载体,担负着整合社会的价值导向的功能.<诗>在春秋时期被广泛应用并走向形式化,其原有意义诉求与礼乐教化功能日渐丧失.

The Cultural Function and the Semantic Changes of the Book of Poetry in Pre-Qin Dynasty Times

The Book of Poetry is the primal crystallization of Chinese ancestry's investigation into the outsideworld and the meaning of human life, indeed, it is the most ancient songs of life. However its being compiledand edited into a collection came as the result of governmental activity, not as the natural result of the spreadingand gathering among the folk people. It became the important means for the sovereigns of the dynasties to findout the opinions of their officials and the customs of the masses of people. During the rule of Zhou Dynasty,as the chief carriers for the function of "entertaining by songs and music and enlightening by education", theBook of Poetry played the role of integrating the orientation of social values. Later on, in the Spring andAutumn period, the Book of Poetry was widely quoted in daily life and became formalized, as a result, itsoriginal intention and function gradually faded away.
