新中国成立前夕在美中国史家归国原因探析

自太平洋战争爆发后,中国学人赴美渐成潮流。在这股赴美洪流之中,不乏从事中国文史研究之人。值得注意的是,大多数赴美中国史家都在1949年新中国成立前后相继归国。促使大多数赴美的中国史家最终选择归国之原因主要有美国汉学的边缘性及其薄弱、美国对华人学者的歧视、中国史家强烈高亢的民族意识、新中国的吸引与积极召唤等。
