书法欣赏论

书法欣赏需要具备书法关学知识、书法史学修养、博览古今书迹的阅读积累，以及书法临习和书法创作的切身体验。要“三观”作品、“五视”作品，尽可能多地了解作者及其创作背景或情境。要着眼于笔画线条、结体造型、章法布局、墨色运用、署名落款、格调气息、师承创新及文字内容等方面。

On the Appreciation of Calligraphy

To appreciate calligraphy, one must have an understanding of calligraphic aesthetics, a good knowledge of the calligraphic history, an accumulated sense of calligraphy appreciation by extensively reading calligraphic works of past and present, and personal experiences in imitating classical works and creating one＇ s own works. It is necessary for one to appreciate a piece of work through ＂3 looks＂ and ＂5 perspectives＂, and to have a good understanding of the author, the background and situation for the creation. One shall focus on such aspects as the strokes and lines, the characters＇structures, the overall arrangement, the ink mark＇s colors, the signature, the atmosphere of characters, the inheritance and initiation, the content of characters, and so on.
