论扬雄“在夷貉则引之”的民族思想

扬雄重视民族问题,提出了“在夷貉则引之”的思想,主张向周边民族地区传播中原先进文化。他写作《方言》一书,就是出于向周边民族地区传播中原文化的需要。扬雄主张用儒家思想引导周边地区人民进入礼仪文明社会,这一思想是对儒家“大一统”思想和“华夷之辨”在其所处的历史条件下的继承和发展,在当今仍有借鉴意义。
