动物保护思想的中西比较与启示

中国传统文化中,儒释道都有着丰富的动物保护思想.“尊重生命,关爱动物”是中国传统文化的精粹,但也有局限性.从理念层面看,中国传统的动物保护思想要强于西方,然而中国的儒释道思想宗教意味浓厚,直观想象成分多,科学思辨成分少,这是其后来没有进一步发展的原因.反观西方的动物保护思想,哲学思辨占据上风,理性思考多,结论较客观,一旦科学技术发展,其保护动物的理论和相关立法也随之发展.

The Comparison and reflection about Chinese and Western Animal-protection Thinking

In Chinese traditional culture,Confucianism Buddhism and Taoism have the rich animal protection ideological.It is the essence of Chinese traditional culture that " Respect the life,Care about the animal",but there are also some limitations.From the perspective of conceptual level,the Chinese traditional thought of protecting animal is stronger than the Western.However,in China Confucianism Buddhism and Taoism have strong religious ideological,more direct-viewing imagination ingredient,Less scientific reasoning components.So they have not further developed later.In contrast the western animal protection thought,speculative philosophy prevailing,more rational thinking,and the conclusion is more objective,so once there are some developments in the science and technology,then the theory of animal-protection and related legislation also will develop.
