农民贫困的根源浅析

农民之所以贫困 :一是由于农业生产周期相对固定 ,生产速度难以较快提高 ;二是农产品的功能稳定 ,在没有功能变化的条件下 ,消费者有意无意抵制其价格上涨 ;三是农产品关系国计民生 ,政府不允许其价格上涨过高 ;四是随着社会发展 ,人们要求丰衣足食 ,这又以少量过剩为前提 ,供过于求 ,将导致农产品价格下跌 ;五是农业生产力提高缓慢 ,依靠效率提高来增加收入相对艰难。因而农业难以依靠自身摆脱贫困 ,农民脱贫的希望在于非农行业对农业的支持和保护

Causes of Farmer Poverty

The causes of peasant poverty are that: firstly,the speed of agriculture production is slow because the period of agriculture production is relatively steady; secondly, consumers subconsciously resist the rise in prices of agricultural products as its function remains the same;thirdly,the government does not permit the prices of agricultural products to rise because agricultural products are important to people's life; fourth, the prices of agricultural products will be in decline because agricultural product's supply is surplus to its demand in future;fifth, agricultural productivity increases comparatively slow in pace,thus it is hard to increase agricultural income by improving agricultural efficiency. So agricultural industry can not beat poverty by agriculture itself, the only way for farmers to get rid of poverty lies in the support from non agricultural industries.
