A Knowledge Framework for Governmental Knowledge Management

Coming in the new age of knowledge economy, a government shall inevitably accept the challenge facing its traditional frame of administration. The knowledge management has been symbolizing a governmental revolution or a trend to performing better governmental duties under knowledge economy conditions. Analyzing the reasons why a government has to introduce knowledge management, a knowledge framework is proposed for governments with all its integrated parts involved and their functions explained systematically. The concept of knowledge map, as the core of knowledge framework, is given with its functions discussed to support the implementation of governmental knowledge management.
