In the period of social transition,the problem of migrant workers'political participation has caught great attention of the party and government.But under the background of the long estranged relations between urban and rural residents,which was caused by dual social structure in China,the political participation of migrant workers has long been in a marginalized plight because of such factors as system defect,improper policy and migrant workers'own quality.It needs unremitting efforts from the government,society and migrant workers to figure out a proper way to solve this problem.
