自我呈现个体差异的实验研究

自我呈现是人们控制他人形成自己期望印象的过程.但自我呈现存在个体差异,有些人行为与内在状态保持一致,有的人行为随情境变化而变化.自我监控是造成此种差异的一个原因,且自我监控差异跟个体的自我同一性有关.本研究的目的是探讨:(1)自我呈现是否会随情境的变化而变化?(2)自我呈现的个体差异能否用自我监控来解释?(3)自我监控跟自我概念的特征是否有关?实验一发现:跟重要他人意见不一致时比一致时被试态度发生变化要大.实验二证实:在态度不一致时,被试态度发生的变化可以用自我监控类型来预测.研究三说明自我监控跟自我同一性有显著相关.根据不同自我监控者典型社会行为的意义,对结果进行了讨论.
