| 摘 要： | 詹姆斯.鲍德温受到过前辈作家赖特的“抗议小说”的鼓舞。但是,在传承抗议精神并付诸实践的过程中,鲍德温敏锐地注意到了抗议传统思想中的局限性。于是,他力图突破黑人抗议传统的禁锢进行新的尝试。他的黑白融合的思想深深影响了许多后来的作家,为他们提供了一种探讨种族问题的新思路。

| Abstract: | Although encouraged by Richard Wright,the elder writer,and his "protest novel",James Baldwin became acutely aware of the limitations of the protest tradition in Afro-American literature while holding the tradition by putting it into practice.Hence,he tried to break the tradition and make a new endeavor.His idea of racial integration has deeply influenced the black writers of the young generations,offering them a new thought in probing into the racial problems. |
