20世纪 80年代的戏剧观念大讨论混淆了政治教条支配下的伪现实主义与艺术话语中的真现实主义 ,笼统地排斥与消解之 ,鼓吹现代主义又仅得其皮毛 ,完全忽视了现实主义与现代主义这两股潮流所共有的现代性问题。 90年代戏剧在诸如“红色经典”、“形式创新”的口号下 ,复辟着早被历史唾弃的旧东西。对五四启蒙话语的解构大大助长了这种复辟倾向。因此 ,有必要重提五四传统与戏剧的现代化问题。

A Further Discussion on the Tradition of the May Fourth Movement and the Modernization of the Theater

In the debates over theater conceptions of the 1980s, there was a confusion between the false realism dominated by political dogma and the true realism in art discourse. The debates rejected both types of realism and advocated that modernism only obtained a smattering of realism. It fully overlooked modernity common to both realism and modernity. The theater of the 1990s restored the garbage long discarded by history under the slogans of "Red Cannon" and "New Form", a trend much encouraged by the deconstruction of enlightenment discourse during the May Fourth Movement. To conclude, it is necessary to raise the tradition of the May Fourth Movement and the modernization of the theater.
