世纪的角逐——百年报刊话语中科学与封建迷信、伪科学的交锋

在百年报刊科学话语中,科学与封建迷信、伪科学的交锋是一条基本线索,成为“世纪的角逐”。但最为突出的有两次:一次是五四前后《新青年》为代表的进步报刊对灵学会为代表的封建迷信与伪科学势力的声讨和批判,一次是20世纪70年代末至90年代末长达20年的围绕人体特异功能的拉锯式持久战。科学与封建迷信及伪科学历经百年的角逐,说明中国社会和中国文化中科学精神还是十分匮乏,科学教育和科学启蒙还是一项十分需要、十分重要的战略性任务。

Century's Rivalry——Confrontation Between Science and Feudal Superstition, Pseudo-science in the Discourse of the Press in the 20th Century

In the scientific discourse of the press during the past century, the confrontation between science and feudal superstition, pseudo - science serves as the fundamental clue and becomes the Century's Rivalry. Two battles are notable among others. One is the rebuke and criticism of some progressive press with the representative of La Jeunesse against the feudal superstition and pseudo - science advocated by the Society for Psychical Research around the May 4th Movement. Another is the seesaw battle about the supernatural powers of the human body lasted from the late 1970s to the late 1990s. The confrontation reveals the lack of scientific spirit in Chinese society and Chinese culture;it also points out that science education and enlightenment is a highly necessary as well as important strategic task.
