基于董事会特征调节效应的R&D与绩效关系研究——来自新一代信息技术企业的经验数据

文章以2009至2012年为研究区间,选取沪深A股主板137家新一代信息技术上市公司的347个样本数据作为研究对象,对基于董事会特征调节效应的R&D投入与企业绩效的关系进行实证分析。研究结果表明,新一代信息技术企业R&D投入与企业绩效呈正相关的关系;董事持股比例和关键董事年龄都是同质调节变量,对R&D投入与企业绩效关系的形态和方向进行调节,董事持股比例越高或关键董事年龄越低对二者关系的影响越强;董事会会议强度不是调节变量。     

An online copy number variant detection method for short sequencing reads

The availability of the next generation sequencing (NGS) technology in today's biomedical research has provided new opportunities in scientific discovery of genetic information. The high-throughput NGS technology, especially DNA-seq, is particularly useful in profiling a genome for the analysis of DNA copy number variants (CNVs). The read count (RC) data resulting from NGS technology are massive and information rich. How to exploit the RC data for accurate CNV detection has become a computational and statistical challenge. We provide a statistical online change point method to help detect CNVs in the sequencing RC data in this paper. This method uses the idea of online searching for change point (or breakpoint) with a Markov chain assumption on the breakpoints loci and an iterative computing process via a Bayesian framework. We illustrate that an online change-point detection method is particularly suitable for identifying CNVs in the RC data. The algorithm is applied to the publicly available NCI-H2347 lung cancer cell line sequencing reads data for locating the breakpoints. Extensive simulation studies have been carried out and results show the good behavior of the proposed algorithm. The algorithm is implemented in R and the codes are available upon request.     

‘A ondi queras’: Ranchero identity construction by U.S. born Mexicans on Facebook

This study describes how transnational second‐generation Mexican bilinguals use a stigmatized variety of Mexican Spanish to communicate on Facebook and construct an identity. The stereotyped features of this variety index a ranchero identity. Historically, ranchero is an ambivalent identity for Mexican society in general. On the one hand, ranchero culture is a positive reminiscence of Mexico's agrarian past, while on the other, rancheros, along with indigenous Mexicans, are at the bottom of the hierarchy in Mexican society. A discourse‐centered, ethnographic analysis of digitally mediated conversations demonstrates how language use allows participants to reminisce about their collective past, maintain Mexican identities tied to their ancestors, fit their identities to contemporary U.S. Mexican culture, and distance themselves from the stigma associated with the ranchero background.     

The problem of social generations: a critique of the new emerging orthodoxy in youth studies

Over the previous seven years the application of a social generation paradigm or ‘theory’ has gained increasing currency as a method in analysing young people's relationship with the life course. Whilst not a new concept or approach its resurgence and reconfiguration to ‘new’ times has seen some writers positioning it as a ‘new orthodoxy’ or ‘consensus’ within youth studies. In this it is seen as providing a conceptual framework that better helps us understand the complexity of circumstances and conditions that shape youth identities in late modern society. In this paper we examine and explore the underlying assumptions and claims that are made by those advocating the social generational paradigm, raising questions and seeking further clarification on a number of key themes. We accept youth studies needs to move beyond ‘old models’ that define and understand social context as a simply a tension between ‘structure or/and agency’ or as a ‘flavour’ to social action. To conclude therefore we propose the need to have an approach that is ecological and both accepts ‘social change’ and ‘continuity’ as critical parts of the life course, one that recognises the nature and influence of power and social reproduction, especially for different social classes, in shaping the experience of being young.     

A Bivariate Distribution Family with Specified Correlation Coefficient and Given Marginals

For given continuous distribution functions F(x) and G(y) and a Pearson correlation coefficient ρ, an algorithm is provided to construct a sequence of continuous bivariate distributions with marginals equal to F(x) and G(y) and the corresponding correlation coefficient converges to ρ. The algorithm can be easily implemented using S-Plus or R. Applications are given to generate bivariate random variables with marginals including Gamma, Beta, Weibull, and uniform distributions.

社会网络、身份认同与新生代农民工的心理危机

通过对福建、湖南与贵州三省1735名新生代农民工的抽样问卷调查数据分析发现：滋生自杀意念是新生代农民工心理危机的重要表现,而先赋性社会网络与自致性社会网络能有效降低新生代农民工生活中面临的“扭力”,为其遏制自杀意念进而防止自杀行为提供双重保护;而新生代农民工市民化进程的“滞后性”与对市民身份认同的“超前性”之间的结构性张力对其自杀意念施加显著的正向影响,且身份认同对新生代农民工社会网络与自杀意念之间的负向影响起着路径截然相反的调节作用。因此,引导新生代农民工实现社会网络结构从“先赋性社会网络”到“自致性社会网络”的转换,并通过加快新生代农民工的市民化进程与其市民身份认同的“同步性”,消除两者之间的结构性张力,是有效遏制其滋生自杀意念的重要途径。

新生代农民工的精神文化培养

随着80、90后新生代农民工数量的增加,加强对其精神文化需求的研究越来越具有深刻的现实意义。新生代农民工是一个新兴的群体,是构建"和谐社会"伟大战略的重要推动者。他们一方面追求精神文化生活,但另一方面又在理想和现实的碰撞中挣扎。对新生代农民工群体特征进行描述,分析其精神文化缺失的原因,并针对原因提出了相应建议:完善法律制度,保障新生代农民工劳动权益;加强政府引导,完善公共文化设施建设;企业主动关心,提升新生代农民工的归属感;关注农村基层,营造农村精神文化新风。
