网络游戏消费行为影响因素的归纳性分析

宽带技术的迅猛发展和普遍应用使得网络游戏已经逐步发展成为一个有着巨大潜力的产业,对网络游戏消费者行为的研究也变得日益重要.本文应用开放式调查(Open-ended Question)的研究方法,调查了与网络游戏密切相关的76名人员,对网络游戏消费行为的影响因素进行了归纳分析,发现网络游戏消费行为受两大类共8个维度因素的影响,并为网络游戏企业改进游戏设计和营销推广提供了理论基础.

Exercise Motivation of College Students in Online,Face-to-Face,and Blended Basic Studies Physical Activity and Wellness Course Delivery Formats

Abstract

Objective: The purpose of this study was to assess exercise motivation among college students self-selected into 4 online (OL) and face-to-face (F2F) basic studies’ physical activity and wellness course delivery formats. Participants/Methods: Out of 1,037 enrolled students during the Spring 2009 semester, 602 responded online to demographic questions and to the Behavioural Regulation in Exercise Questionnaire, which assessed exercise motivation on 5 subscales. Results: There were no significant differences (p > .05) in exercise motivation for students across course delivery formats, but there was a significant difference in age and employment status between the completely OL and F2F course formats. Conclusions: Health and physical educators can utilize these findings to better understand that physical activity and wellness students are not necessarily trying to avoid physical activity when selecting the OL course format, but are more likely trying to balance work and school responsibilities and need greater flexibility in time and location.     

Constructing risk and responsibility: a gender,race, and class analysis of news representations of adolescent sexuality

Teen sexuality has been portrayed as dangerous (i.e., risk of pregnancy, STIs, sexual victimization for girls) yet pervasive in a growing post-feminist culture of sexualization. Adolescents are tasked with negotiating the difficult terrain of desire and danger as adults persistently construct contradictory discourses and panics around teen sexuality. This study examines a sample of online news media through a feminist intersectional lens, considering race, class, gender, and sexuality as mutually imbricated within dynamics of power, to analyze how contemporary news articles on teen sexuality construct adolescent sexuality at the intersection of neoliberalism and the sexual double standard. Our analysis revealed three particular moral panics around risk for girls: (1) pregnancy and STIs; (2) engagements in sexualization; and (3) sexual victimization. We illuminate how the sexual double standard and neoliberal notions of accountability reinstate and reproduce gendered, raced, and classed representations of adolescent sexualities.     

A DSM-5-Based Online Mental Health Referral Inventory: A Large-Scale Validation Study

In 2007, a comprehensive mental health referral inventory based on the 4th edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV) was posted online as an alternative to the informal tests the public now uses to self-diagnose mental health problems. A validation study was published in 2011 (Epstein &; Muzzatti, 2011 Epstein, R., &; Muzzatti, L. (2011). Preliminary validation of an online DSM-based mental health referral inventory. In 2013, a revision of that inventory that was consistent with the DSM-5 was posted. The present study evaluates the new inventory with a diverse sample of 201,625 people from 184 countries (mainly the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom). The 63-item inventory screens for 21 common problems and typically takes about 5?min to complete. Test scores proved to be good predictors of a variety of self-reported criterion measures, including happiness, personal and professional success, history of hospitalization, history of therapy, current participation in therapy, and employment. Females were found to have slightly more mental health problems than males, and effects were also found for education and race/ethnicity. The revised test is more accessible than the original, reducing the reading level from grade 10.2 to 6.6. It is not designed to diagnose; rather, its primary purpose is to refer people to mental health professionals for further evaluation. It can also be used in clinical settings for quick screening purposes.     

Personality and Gender as Predictors of Online Counseling Use

ABSTRACT

Extraversion, neuroticism, and gender as predictors of online counseling help-seeking behavior were investigated. A total of 176 college student participants, 30 men and 146 women, were given the NEO-PIR and ATSPPH-S that assessed, respectively, their personalities and attitudes toward seeking professional psychological help through different modes: traditional face-to-face counseling, video-conferencing, e-mail, instant text message, and microphone. Results were analyzed using MANOVA and MANCOVA. Subjects were grouped by scores on personality variables: low, medium, and high. Findings suggest that attitudes toward different modes of seeking counseling were associated primarily with gender and extraversion but not with neuroticism.

近年来,穿越时空这类文学作品借助网络这一平台迅速走红,成为21世纪以来最引人注目的大众文学题材之一。穿越小说大多融汇历史、言情与玄幻等多种元素于一体,讲述穿越时空的＂爱情故事＂,由于其浓郁的梦幻色彩,受到了青少年特别是女性读者的青睐。在一定程度上,＂穿越＂像一场华丽而旖旎的＂心灵旅程＂,以白日梦的形式起到了舒缓现实世界压力的作用。但是,从＂穿越＂的风靡走红,也折射出了当今青少年世界的一些现象,如偏执的世界观和视角、对现实的迷失及幻灭感、＂拒绝长大＂的逃避倾向、严重的功利主义以及拜金主义等,穿越小说折射出来的社会问题及其对青少年心理健康产生的影响不容忽视,需要教育工作者以及社会各方面积极关注并加以适当引导。
