图式理论与口语产出

图式认知理论认为,人们在理解、吸收输入信息时需要对新输入信息进行解码和编码,编码必须与大脑中的图式网相匹配才能完成信息处理。认识到这一点对提高口语产出能力的培养是十分重要的。在大学外语口语产出训练中,应重视信息输入。朗读和背诵是强化信息输入的一种有效方式。     

1990年代的台湾文学生产

1970年代中期以后台湾文学中出现的政治诗、政治小说,以反政府、反体制著称,它们是被压迫者的心声,是弱势阶层的代言人,具有强烈的在野的反叛性格。政治小说有一类是以政治诉求作为主要目标的,另一类没有明确的政治主张,只是基于作者感时忧国的精神去写政治斗争。1990年代以来,"台湾意识"成了知识分子热烈讨论的话题,随着其本土论述的加强,台湾文学的创作也成了一股不可忽视的潮流。台语文学不仅有学术层面的问题,而且还牵涉到族群和国家的认同。一些分离主义者,在"多语言文学"的遮掩下,把原本属于汉语方言的台语膨胀为独立的"民族语言",这是在有意制造北京话与台语的对立。     

人间自是有情痴--读徐志摩的《我等候你》

Trait Expressiveness and Marital Satisfaction: The Role of Idealization Processes

This study examined the processes that underlie the association between trait expressiveness and marital satisfaction. A total of 168 newlywed couples participated in a four‐wave, 13‐year longitudinal study of marriage. Cross‐sectional and longitudinal path analyses suggested that expressiveness promotes satisfaction by leading spouses to engage in affectionate behavior and by leading them to idealize their partner. Expressive people formed idealized images of their partner because they brought out the best in their partner's behavior and because they interpreted their partner's behavior in a favorable light. The study extends previous research by showing that the benefits of trait expressiveness extend into the second decade of marriage and by providing a plausible explanation of the connections between trait expressiveness and marital satisfaction.

If you look like me,I'll talk to you: a preliminary study of ethnic identity and inter‐ethnic interaction among women in Singapore

In Singapore, government policy is for equal but separate development of the four major ethnic groups—Chinese, Malay, Indian and other. In this study, I attempt to gain some preliminary views of how strongly women identify with their own ethnic group and how freely they are prepared to interact with people from other ethnic groups in non‐work‐related situations. I confine my study to females for two reasons. One is that traditional ethnic dress is common among females in Singapore but much rarer among men, and this makes a strong non‐verbal statement of identity. The second reason is to avoid differences between males and females, which I did not wish to pursue within the limits of this exploratory study. The findings of my pilot investigation indicate that intra‐ethnic spontaneous interaction is more likely to occur among women who display a strong national identity. Moreover, younger women, who were exposed during their school years to the government's recent drive to nurture ethnic and cultural differences, are less open to inter‐ethnic interaction than are women in their 30s and older, who grew up when the government drive was towards creating one common national identity for the people of Singapore.     

‘I hereby come out’: What sort of speech act is coming out?

The process of coming out linguistically as a lesbian or as a gay man is occasionally referred to as a speech act (e.g. Harvey 1997: 72; Liang 1997: 293). This analogy is taken as a starting point to explore the extent to which coming out is a performative act, and what sort of speech act coming out may be. The discussion draws on the perspective of both the speaker and the hearer to consider how the acts involved in coming out are open to interpretation. Parallels are drawn between the act of coming out as a lesbian or a gay man and other instances of self–disclosure or of individuals' constructions of new facets of their identities.
